J146 exists to help male survivors of sex trafficking, veterans, and first responders who have suffered trauma. This is accomplished by offering equine programs and outdoor programs to our partners.
Operating on the breathtaking mountain landscape of the 1,800 acre Lorrayne Ranch, our intentional programming helps these survivors RESTORE what was BROKEN and EMPOWER what REMAINS.
Our partnership with Lorrayne Ranch is the “fuel” to the work that we do. They have graciously given us exclusive access to their 1,800 acre ranch, on-site healing spaces, and horses for our programs. Nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains, our partnering ranch, Lorrayne Ranch, provides a serene, safe place for survivors to heal, grow, discover themselves again, and become whole. The combination of intentional programming and picturesque mountain landscape creates a safe healing experience like no other, and brings restoration and recovery. Our crisp mountain air, gorgeous views, and serene spaces give our participants an ability to fully rest and receive healing.
PROGRAMS
PARTNERSHIPS
We believe that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to healing. Rather, this journey is unique for each person—especially as they take steps towards their goals and work through their trauma. We intentionally seek partners to collaborate with to create a unique approach and wellness plan for each person that comes to the ranch. Some modalities used include: Equine Assisted Learning, trauma therapy, healing outdoor spaces such as mountain climbing, as well as a life-skills program.
THE RANCH
Lorrayne Ranch is the first 1800 acre ranch dedicated to using the land to “restore what was broken and empower what remains.” Healing begins while exploring one of the most scenic, beautiful landscapes around the area and continues while interacting with the herd of horses, mules, donkeys, cows, pigs and goats. While exploring, meeting the "herd'“, and enjoying the land, an encounter with a variety of wildlife such as elk, deer, antelope, mountain lions, black bears, wild turkey, and a variety of smaller game and birds is likely.
